Multifaceted artist, innovative and visionary, she is characterized by her impetuous, ideological and transgressive experimentalism. Art Director, event planner, fire dancer, bellydancer, tribalfusiondancer, Burlesque Performer. She is an alternative performer that through art, primarily that of Burlesque, analyzes the female world, scanning it with an analytical, conceptual, revolutionary, cultural, feminist look. In her works she tells the female characters of the legend, of history, of mythology and of literature to narrate, free and make known little-known characters useful for the education and emancipation of the female world.
Sicilian, Cinema and Theater historian, graduated from La Sapienza University in Shapes and Techniques of Performing Arts, specializing in History of Cinema and then further specialize in Restoration of Cinematographic Film in Analog, performing a year of practice at the National Film Archive of Italy. inside the Experimental Center of Cinematography of Rome. She collaborates with numerous artists in different fields, including, Gipsy King, Tonino Carotone, Adriano Bono, Marco Fioramanti, Dolcissima Bastarda etc. SHe distinguished herself in Burlesque for her personal vision that led her to coin the term “Burlesque Underground” to define her theatrical acts. The fusion of different disciplines is the philosophy that underlies the project, thus creating a synaesthetic network of artistic references, going beyond the concept of a single genre, promoting the union of the arts in homage to Sergej Pavlovič Diajgilev. She oversaw the cultural season of the Marina di Ragusa Tourist Port and was the artistic director of the Roman, alternative, unique and underground venue Vualt41. She created the first Hot Pepper Burlesque Contest in collaboration with Piero Basso. She attended the Academy of Micca Club in Rome as a fellow and participated in some of the most important Burlesque International Festivals, winning numerous titles. She represented Italy at the World Burlesque Games 2017, as the only Italian representative, winning the third world podium for innovation. My project as well as my philosophy is to combine the art of Burlesque with the present-day Underground Culture and create a bridge of union between past and present, creating a series of past and visionary-futuristic artistic references. Ancient and modern merged in the theatrical “here and now” in an imaginary and futuristic journey. The sensuality of burlesque, the typical movements of this discipline embrace alternative artistic forms, characterized by an excessive experimentalism and an transgressive and anarchic ideological attitude. The Burlesque Underground opposes the traditional culture by incorporating and modifying it. A melting pot of cultures, dance styles and music, between history, myths and legends. A fundamental characteristic is the attention to the materials of the costumes, which are purely alternative and recycled; to point out the philosophy of the genre and promote the anti-consumerist and naturalistic message that distinguishes it”.
